This year Outdoor Revolution are introducing the Intelligent Frame - a breather valve on the Oxygen AirFrame products that prevents the AirTubes from over inflation. The AirTubes still have the Dynamic Speed Valve (DSV), the quickest, easiest and most relable valve on the market but in addition they will have the revolutionary Intelligent Frame. The Valve will release air from the tube when the pressure is too high to prevent the AirTubes from bursting. You can even hear the air escaping when the valve is doing it's job making you aware you can stop pumping.

Yesterday, Outdoor Revolution got a message on Facebook requesting help putting an awning back into the bag. To this man's amazement, Outdoor Revolutions Sales and Marketing Manager, Phi Haynes, drove straight to him to show him the perfect technique when packing awnings away in to the bag!

 

The  man, James Wilcock, has an Oxygen Speed 2 lightweight Air Frame awning and was delighted with the speed of erection and the ease of blowing the awning up. Infact he admitted he loved the product all round, however, could not get it to fit in the bag!!  When Phil arrived at his door, he was over the moon!

The procedure is outined below:

From here, straighten out the awning as much as possible, the easiest way is for 2 people to grab the awning by the storm strap tethers and swing the awning canvas on to it's roof

Once square, fold the awning into thirds

Use the bagged poles as a guide for the correct width.

Have the bag ready at the end you will be rolling towards.

Roll the awning towards the 'open' air valve.

Keep rolling and apply downward pressure to ensure everything is neat.Ensure you keep rolling and tuck in any loose ends...then wrap your arms around the awning to lift and place into bag.....some people 'contain' the canvas roll by tying a couple of lengths of ribbon, or bungie cord

Put the canvas in to the bag, and zip up, ensuring you do not catch the fabric in the zips

Outdoor Revolution recently met with Warners Group Publications editor Val and Photographer Rich to put the blow up Oxygen Speed Porchlite to the test! Warners Group Publications run a whole host of caravan magazines including Caravan Magazine, Caravan Buyer and Which Caravan.

Outdoor Revolution Lightweight Awning's Marketing and Sales Director Phil Haynes, went to meet Val and Richard on a lovely caravan site in Lincolnshire where they tested the Oxygen Porchlite.

Val, an editor for the Caravan magazines, was firstly impressed by the ease of erection of the awning which took her 20 pumps and 30 seconds to inflate, and then very little time to add thecarbon roof pole and peg the awning out. Overall it took Val 14 minutes from start to finish, including attaching the awning to the rail and pegging the awning out; impressive for a first time!

The awning is lightweight yet strong and durable because of the 150 denier double ripstop fabric; ripstop is a technique used to reinforce the fabric making it incredibly resistant to accidental rips or tears.

The Oxygen Porchlie weighs 12.5 kg and features the Dynamic Speed Valve (DSV), the quickest, easiest and most reliable valve on the market as used in the Marine Industry on Kayaks, Dinghies and Lifeboats. Inflation of the Oxygen Air frame is a speedy process using a double action pump and deflation is just the push of a button! This really impressed Val, who was very excited by the speed at taking down the awning, she did it in 2.5 minutes!

The colour of the awning also persuaded Val that this awning was ideal; the light grey allows light to pass through, making the inside of the awning very light and airy creating a comfortable and pleasant environment within. The light grey material also reflects the heat meaning the inside of the awning is as cool as possible and again comfortable when compared to a darker material which can create an unbearably hot environment inside the awning on sunny days.

Val thought the Oxygen porchlite was absolutely fantastic!

United British Caravans, Newcastle Upon Tyne, are hosting an Outdoor revolution Awning display and show this weekend!

There will be a massive amount of Outdoor Revolution Lightweight Awning Ranges on display and Outdoor Revolution representatives on hand to demonstrate the products and latest technologies.

The fun begins at 9am Saturday morning and finishes at 4pm Sunday, there will be a sizzling barbeque to enjoy and plenty of other fun activities to get involved with.

Outdoor Revolution lightweight caravan and motorhome awnings will be on display with Camping International and Glossop Caravans at the SOuth MotorCaravan Show, this weekend!

There will be a large display of Outdoor Revolution Awnings at the Southern MotorCaravan Show, the show starts on Friday and closes on SUnday. The show, which has a 'Swinging 60's' theme also has a large amount if entertainment throughout the duration and there will be a large amount of people staying the full weekend, camping or in their motorhomes/caravans. All weekend their will be fantastic bands and live acts to ensure a great weekend is had by all.

This Bank Holiday weekend Team Bailey Competed at Donington Race Course; in the Classic Mini Championships. After weeks of practicing on the circuit, team captain, Jonathan Lewis, was incredibly optimistic of his teams chances!

The weekend kicked off in an incredibly positive manner, with Lewis going for the win almost the entirety of the race until on the last lap, he hit another racer and failed to finish, damaging his car and championship hopes.

His mechanic stayed up until 1 AM that evening in a bid to get the car back on the track for the race on the Sunday. His efforts were rewarded on the Sunday when the classic mini was just about fit to race, and Lewis again, took the track by storm, finishing an impressive third even though the little Mini was clearly not happy; and amazing achievement.

Team Bailey now have a race on their hands to get the car firing on all cylinders by this weekend when they compete at Brands Hatch and set off tomorrow evening! The clock is very much against them!

Look What we Just Drove Past on the Motorway.... Caravan Rock 'n' Roll!!!!!

Team Baileys Classic Race Team are excited ahead of their May-Day Race at Donnington.. Headed by Jonathan Lewis, the Team Bailey Classic Race Team had a practice session on Saturday at Silverstone, and Jonathan Lewis spoke of his chances, "this weekend at Silverstone proved what I thought it would, we can compete with anyone, I expect us to win on Monday, we have the best car, the best drivers and the best engine. It will be a great fun day out for spectators and drivers alike!" When asked about the teams air frame caravan, Oxygen Speed 3 Awning, Jonathan Lewis responded, " The awning is the quickest and easiest awning and blow up awning I have ever seen, it literally takes me 15 minuets to put it up! and way less to take down, it really is on another level to its competition. Along with the speed and ease of use, the best feature for me is the fabric, it is incredibly light but very hard wearing, and creates a very light airy environment within." We would like to wish team Bailey Classic all the best for Monday!

This Weekend both Glossop Caravans and Camping International had stands at the Peterborough National Motor-home Show.

Camping International told us that their biggest seller over the weekend was the Oxygen Movelite 3, a brand new blow up awning for 2014. This caravan, campervan or motorhome awning is very versatile due to its quick and easy inflation. Using 3 Oxygen air frames, the most robust air frames on the market, for added stability and decreased weight.

The Oxygen Air Frames on the Oxygen Movelite 3 feature theDynamic Speed Valve (DSV), this valve has been taken directly from the Marine Industry used in Lifeboats and Kayaks, etc. The quickest, easiest and most reliable valve on the market. Inflation is a speedy process using a double action pump and deflation is the push of a button.

The Movelite Oxygen 3 also uses the 150 Denier Double Ripstop fabric; the optimum lightweight for strength ratio material. Double Ripstop is a reinforcement technique that makes the fabric incredibly resistant to accidental rips and tears whilst massively reducing the chance of a tear or rip spreading.

Glossop, on the other hand, told us their biggest seller was the Smaller version, the Oxygen movelite 2, very similar to the Oxygen Movelite 2 int he featues, benefits and technologies (infaltable etc.), however it is smaller in size and only has 2 Oxygen AIr Frames. 

Like the Oxygen Movelite 3, the Movelite 2 also has lightly coloured material; this allows light to pass through it making inside the awning light and airy. The material also reflects the suns heat, this allows for a cooler environment within the awning which you would not get with a black material which would create a stuffy, uncomfortably hot environment inside the awning.

Another factor used in both the Oxygen movelite 2 and 3, which leads to a calm and comfortable environment in the awning, is the ‘Tints’ tinted window that allows light into the awning but reduces glare whilst adding a contemporary feel. Condensation, which is impossible to eradicate completely and occurs in all awnings, is eased and reduced with the inclusion of the ‘Vortex Ventilation System’, this gives air more chance to escape and therefore reduce condensation. Both models are reated with ‘Sun-Pro UV’, a protection technique that protects the material against the harmful rays of the sun that can fade and wear fabrics. ‘Sun-Pro UV can help a fabric last up to 3 times longer than an untreated product.
