The CompactAirLites have lots of features and benefits...

The Dynamic Speed Valve (DSV) is taken directly from the Marine Industry used in Lifeboats and Kayaks. It is the quickest, easiest and most reliable valve on the market. Inflation is a speedy process using a double action pump that comes with the awning and deflation is as simple as the push of a button.

The Intelligent Frame is an exciting revolutionary technology - new for 2015. It uses a breather valve which prevents over inflation of the Oxygen AirFrame Tubes. When inflating the Oxygen AirFrame Tube the Intelligent Frame will simply release air when it has reached the correct pressure. This Intelligent Frame comes with a LIFETIME GUARANTEE*. 

The CompactAirLite uses Acrylix 420 Denier Super Double Ripstop fabric; the optimum lightweight for strength ratio material with a hydrostatic head of 6000mm. Double Ripstop is a reinforcement technique that makes the fabric incredibly resistant to accidental rips and tears whilst massively reducing the chance of a tear or rip spreading. The material used on the roof panels is a light grey colour; this allows light to pass through it making inside the tent light and airy. The material also reflects the suns heat, this allows for a cooler environment within the awning; in conparison to a dark material which would create a stuffy, uncomfortably hot environment.

The material is treated with ‘Sun-Pro UV’, a protection technique that protects the material against the harmful rays of the sun that can fade and wear fabrics. ‘Sun-Pro UV' can help a fabric last up to 3 times longer than an untreated product.

Another factor which leads to a calm and comfortable environment in the tent is the ‘Tints’ tinted windows that allows light in but reduces glare whilst adding a contemporary feel. The CompactAirLite 420has three shaped roof windows to allow extra light in to the awning but still reducing the heat. It has three large windows in the front panels to create an open, inviting space to sit and look at the surrounding area. 

Condensation, which is impossible to eradicate completely and occurs in all tents, is eased and reduced with the inclusion of the ‘Vortex Ventilation System’, this gives air more chance to escape and therefore helps to combat condensation. The CompactAirLite 420 is wheel chair and push chair friendly with extra wide doors for easy access and plenty of living space inside.

The  man, James Wilcock, has an Oxygen Speed 2 lightweight Air Frame awning and was delighted with the speed of erection and the ease of blowing the awning up. Infact he admitted he loved the product all round, however, could not get it to fit in the bag!!  When Phil arrived at his door, he was over the moon!

The procedure is outined below:

From here, straighten out the awning as much as possible, the easiest way is for 2 people to grab the awning by the storm strap tethers and swing the awning canvas on to it's roof

Once square, fold the awning into thirds

Use the bagged poles as a guide for the correct width.

Have the bag ready at the end you will be rolling towards.

Roll the awning towards the 'open' air valve.

Keep rolling and apply downward pressure to ensure everything is neat.Ensure you keep rolling and tuck in any loose ends...then wrap your arms around the awning to lift and place into bag.....some people 'contain' the canvas roll by tying a couple of lengths of ribbon, or bungie cord

Put the canvas in to the bag, and zip up, ensuring you do not catch the fabric in the zips

Outdoor Revolution Lightweight Awning's Marketing and Sales Director Phil Haynes, went to meet Val and Richard on a lovely caravan site in Lincolnshire where they tested the Oxygen Porchlite.

Val, an editor for the Caravan magazines, was firstly impressed by the ease of erection of the awning which took her 20 pumps and 30 seconds to inflate, and then very little time to add thecarbon roof pole and peg the awning out. Overall it took Val 14 minutes from start to finish, including attaching the awning to the rail and pegging the awning out; impressive for a first time!

The awning is lightweight yet strong and durable because of the 150 denier double ripstop fabric; ripstop is a technique used to reinforce the fabric making it incredibly resistant to accidental rips or tears.

The Oxygen Porchlie weighs 12.5 kg and features the Dynamic Speed Valve (DSV), the quickest, easiest and most reliable valve on the market as used in the Marine Industry on Kayaks, Dinghies and Lifeboats. Inflation of the Oxygen Air frame is a speedy process using a double action pump and deflation is just the push of a button! This really impressed Val, who was very excited by the speed at taking down the awning, she did it in 2.5 minutes!

The weekend kicked off in an incredibly positive manner, with Lewis going for the win almost the entirety of the race until on the last lap, he hit another racer and failed to finish, damaging his car and championship hopes.

His mechanic stayed up until 1 AM that evening in a bid to get the car back on the track for the race on the Sunday. His efforts were rewarded on the Sunday when the classic mini was just about fit to race, and Lewis again, took the track by storm, finishing an impressive third even though the little Mini was clearly not happy; and amazing achievement.

Team Bailey now have a race on their hands to get the car firing on all cylinders by this weekend when they compete at Brands Hatch and set off tomorrow evening! The clock is very much against them!

Once you have inflated your Air Frame awning, the sleeve containing the tube and also the inner black vinyl sleeve MUST NOT be unzipped under any circumstances as this can result in damage to the tube!

It is also recommended, after inflation for the first time,  to make sure the zips on the black vinyl inner sleeve are secured together via cable tie or something similar!
